NEW WORK ,2010
.Patterned teapot

Small handbuilt pitchers

Each of these small pitchers is individually handmade. Each one starts as a small ball of clay.  I force a dowel through this and roll the ball into a thin  cylinder. The cylinder is then further shaped by hand and added to a base.  They are suitable for serving salad dressing, syrup etc.  The capacity varies but is usually around 8 oz.

Covered Jar

The covered jars are thrown on the potter's
wheel and altered.
They vary in size but most are about 8 inches tall and 8 inches across.
Orchid Planters

The orchid planters to hold a 6 inch pot with space at the bottom to maintain proper drainage. The ones shown are about 8 or 9 inches tall and can take an orchid in a 6 inch pot.  It is possible to special order larger or smaller ones.
White on white patterned teapot

The teapot is thrown on the potter's wheel and altered. Decorated with raised white on white random patterning.
Hosta vase

The vase was inspired by the spears of Hostas seen in spring before they unfold their leaves.

Each is individually made from thin slabs of soft
porcelain and hand decorated using the white on white "pate sur pate" technique.

They are 7 or 8 inches tall.
Free form patterned bowls.
The free form bowls are individually shaped by hand and patterned with a  variety of  patterns.  They are sold as sets or individually.
The large bowls shown here are about 14 inches across.  The smaller bowls are 7 or 8 inches.
